#4 GGJ Day 2!
Day 2 at the Global Game Jam 2025 – the creative grind begins!
Today was a productive and intense day! Our team gave it their all: coding, designing new assets, and piecing everything together step by step. Our goal? Finalize everything by tomorrow, leaving enough time to polish our little underwater adventure.
In the morning, our first level still looked pretty rough—almost like an empty prototype. But see for yourself:
But with teamwork and dedication, it started to take shape. Our artists refined the level graphics, adding vibrant details, while the programmers tirelessly worked on the mechanics. Every collision, every damage calculation, and every movement of the bubble was reworked to make the gameplay as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Music for the Depths 🌊🎵
Our all-rounder and musical genius TobyMoby pulled an all-nighter to finish the entire soundtrack for Bubble Odysea! Today, we were thrilled to experience the atmospheric music that perfectly complements the underwater theme. It’s a true highlight that brings our game to life.

Mechanics and Progress
Meanwhile, we worked hard on the finer details of the game mechanics. Collisions between the bubble and obstacles like sharp objects were fine-tuned, as was the damage system. The bubble can now shrink, grow, and strategically stay small to navigate tight spaces. We also implemented player controls that use the phone’s tilt functionality. Additionally, we worked on seamless transitions between levels to provide an immersive player experience.
I even managed to contribute my small part to the Game Jam—beyond blogging and updating the Game Jam page—I dabbled a bit in coding myself!
Current Status
Our game is now almost finished! We have three playable levels, a start screen, an end screen, and everything is already running on a smartphone. It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come in such a short time. The team’s energy is fantastic, and everyone is giving their best to complete our game by tomorrow.
